How can you report cyberbullying before it escalates to a trusted adult without feeling "like a rat?" Some students say they would be willing to report cyberbullying if they didn't have to identify themselves or if they could be sure their identity would be kept unknown. Brainstorm some ways for students to anonymously report cyberbullying below.
- You can send a email to your teacher on am unown email address and not put your name.
- You and a group of friends could have a private conversation with your teacher and tell him/her what is going on and to say not to tell the bully or any one else who told.
- You could give your teacher a small note telling her who did what and ask her to keep your identity a secret.
- You can write a note to your teacher and you do not have to put your name.
- You could tell your teacher you have a "friend" who has a cyberbullying issue while your "friend" is you.
- You should tell an adult or parent through a letter or something that would not say who you are and tell them what is goning on with you and another person.
